01 — Digital archive

Gyergyó Digital Interactive Archive

for the Tarisznyás Márton Museum, Gyergyószentmiklós

A community photo archive of the Gyergyó region. Photographs taken before 2001, browsable by 30-plus settlements, by period from pre-1870 to 2000, by subject and by photo type. Registered members of the public upload; the museum approves before anything is published. Hungarian, Romanian and English. Free to use.

02 — Municipal website

Gyergyóalfalu Municipality

Two entrances, "I'm at home" for residents and "I'm a guest" for visitors, so each group finds its own front door. Office hours, address and phone on the first screen. Romanian and English switches.

03 — Online exhibition

Tarisznyás Márton Museum

Gyergyószentmiklós

The town's museum, maintained by the municipality. The site carries its collections, a virtual exhibition of traditional Gyergyó dress, the current temporary exhibitions, and opening hours and prices.

Moldavian Csángó Hungarian Ethnographic Archive

An ethnographic data archive of the Moldavian Csángó Hungarian communities.

05 — Presentation site

Székely Border Guard Memorial Centre

Szépvíz, Harghita County

Three floors on the history of Székely military organisation and border defence, from the Árpád era to the end of the Second World War, opened in August 2021. The site gives visitors what they need before they set off: opening hours, a visit of 90 to 120 minutes, booking for groups of ten or more 48 hours ahead, and free audio guides in Hungarian, Romanian and English.

Kagome agricultural parts

A Romanian-language shop for tractor and agricultural machinery parts. Sixty-plus categories, roughly two hundred manufacturers, stock labels for on-order, new and promotional items, and a minimum order of 50 RON.
